More video tutorials for our "Tablesmith" table widget May 12, 2015 16:17 7 Comments
We continue to add video tutorials for our exciting "Tablesmith" widget, and we appreciate your patience in doing so!
This video focuses on using paragraph styles and the Styles "widgette" to control the formatting for your table data in your Muse project. So much control and functionality that it takes several widgets to do it all.
Another eCommerce solution for your Muse project February 18, 2015 11:00
In our expansion into more robust ecommerce, we started off by integrating Ecwid into our existing Muse site. And they continue to be our recommendation for an unbeatable, friendly, intuitive online store solution. But they were missing the one thing we really, really wanted: a subscription membership option.
It was for that reason... and pretty much for that reason alone... that we migrated over to Shopify. We're delighted to be here, don't take it the wrong way, but we loved how well Ecwid's product translated into Muse.
Once we got into Shopify, we still wanted to maintain ties with a true website designed completely in Muse. Turns out we had to, actually, because we wanted to be able to demonstrate our widgets "in action." The only way to do that would be from a Muse website, hence you'll find all of the "Preview Live" links from each product page point to external pages designed entirely in Muse.
As we were "setting up shop," so to speak, we immediately saw a need for Shopify widgets. Shopify already created the code to embed buttons, products and even a lightbox shop into external sites, but we quickly got tired of going back and forth between Muse and Shopify to copy and paste code. #arduous #tedious
And so we put together some workflow-enhancing widgets to help streamline the process, and boy, did it ever. After exporting a list of our products, we were able to quickly plug the product "handles" into our widget. The process flew by like... well, like anything that flies really fast.
We're pretty confident that the basic foundation of musesupplyco.com is ready for us to start stocking the shelves with inventory. With that in mind, we went back to the original Muse "Shopify" widgets we created for ourselves. We cleaned up the code and even added a few enhancements to make them super friendly to use, and now we are pleased to make them available to the public.
If you are an All Access Member, you'll see the widget toolkit added to your Downloads link as part of your annual membership.
If you are not a member... why aren't you? Still, you can purchase them from the Shopify Widgets product page.
We hope you'll agree that the time saved using our widgets is worth he investment. Especially if you have more than ten products to add to a site.
